Chef Radu Ionescu received from His Majesty Margareta the title of Friend of the Romanian Red Cross, for his involvement and support of Food Bank project. The 10th Anniversary of Food Bank event was attended by Her Majesty Margaret, Custodian of the Romanian Crown and President of the National Red Cross Society, Her Royal Highness Prince Radu, Mr. Mugur Isărescu – NBR Governor and many other personalities and officials of the Romanian Red Cross and state authorities.

1) How can I reserve?

Reservations requires can be done only through our website on the BOOKINGS & RESERVATION section. You will receive an e-mail with confirmation and additional details. Please send us also a contact phone number. In case the restaurant is fully booked, you can join our waiting list.

2) What are the opening days of KAIAMO restaurant?

KAIAMO opening hours:

Tuesday – Friday : 18:00 – 23:00 (Dinner).

Saturday 12:00 – 16:00 (Lunch) ; 18:00 – 23:00 (Dinner).

Sunday and Monday : CLOSED.

We kindly ask to respect the arrival times.

3) What menus do you offer?

We offer several choices of tasting menu or courses from our à la carte menu, that can be found here – link. Menu choices are the same for lunch and dinner. If you choose one of our tasting menu we kindly request the same menu for the whole table.

For party of 6 guests or more, the tasting menù is required for the whole table unless there is another agreement.

4) How long does the experience last?

The Tasting Menu experience usually takes from 2 to 4 hours, but it depends on your kind of menu choices as well on Wine Pairing or Cocktail Pairing choices.

5) Is the menu ok for children?

The experience is suitable for anyone who is inherently curious, although it is not designed with children in mind. Children aged 8 and older are welcome but we do not have a children’s menu & require all younger guests to have the same menu as the adults.

6) Can you accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, aversions?

We kindly ask to be informed of any allergies we need to be aware of in advance of your visit. At KAIAMO, we try to make the fewest number of changes possible when accommodating dietary restrictions, so that our guests may enjoy the experience as originally intended. If the dietary requirements dictate comprehensive changes in the menu that will result in a compromise of standards, we may not be able to accommodate your request. We are not able to make substitutions for aversions. When booking a reservation, please note all food allergies in as much detail as possible. We are able to make accommodations for certain common dietary restrictions (vegetarian, pescetarian) with at least 48 hours advance notice. While we do our best to accommodate mild allergies but cannot guarantee that we work in a nut, dairy, gluten or allergen-free environment given the complexity of our menu & the use of rare foraged ingredients. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

7) Do you offer KAIAMO fine dining experience also on the open air terrace ?

No, the open air terrace has his own menu adapted for WINE & COCKTAILS Lounge concept.

8) How many people can I reserve for?

We can accommodate from one (Chef’s Counter Sitting Bar) up to twelve people (Wine & Cocktail Lounge Table)

9) Can I make a reservation for more than six people?

To reserve a table of more than 6 people, please contact us directly at contact@kaiamo.ro . We also offer a range of custom options for parties, private events and private hire of the restaurant in its entirety.

10) Do I need a credit card to reserve?

For 6 guests or more, yes, a credit card is mandatory to secure the table. Please note that there is no charge to your card. Your bill will be settled on the day of your visit.

11) What is the modification and cancellation policy?

You can cancel your reservation without any penalty up to one week before your arrival. Changing the number of people on an existing reservation will not cause a penalty fee if given not later than one week before your arrival, but will depend on the restaurant availability and restaurant configuration.

A fee of €75 per person will be charged on your credit card in case of a cancellation or a modification to the number of guests communicated later than one week before your visit, or a no show.

12) What payment methods do you accept?

We accept contactless, cash & card payments.

13) Can I buy a gift card for someone?

We offer this service only for Tasting Menu choices. You can make a reservation through our system and, if confirmed, offer it to your guests or alternatively your guest can contact us for book the reservation. You can contact the restaurant to pay in advance for one of our tasting menus one week before the visit.

14) I have a gift card for KAIAMO how do I make a reservation?

If redeeming a gift card, please contact us directly to make a reservation. Once a gift card reservation has been confirmed, your reservation is subject to our usual Terms & Conditions.

15) Do you offer corkage for wine?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer corkage. If you’re interested in acquiring a specific wine or style of wine you can contact the team at the restaurant directly for recommendations via email to contact@kaiamo.ro

16) Do you offer a wine pairing?

Yes. We offer a Wine Pairing as well a Cocktail Pairing , which will vary depending on the Tasting Menu choice at the time.

17) Do you require a dress code?

A smart casual choice fits your visit perfectly. Absolutely no dress code. Feel free to dress up if you like but don’t feel obliged. Whatever makes you comfortable so you can enjoy your experience.

18) Do you accept walk-ins?

We are happy to accept walk-in reservations at any time, depending on availability. We strongly recommend making a prior reservation to avoid disappointment as availability for walk-in reservations can be very limited.

19) Who do I talk to if there is an issue?

Any member of the team. All feedback is appreciated and will be received judgement-free. We know that there are always things to be improved upon, and have regular team meetings to discuss what we may have done to have affected your experience. Please do open up… we’d much rather hear about an issue directly and immediately. Google and TripAdvisor are wonderful resources, although they preclude us from being able to offer to make amends at the time

20) Do you have parking?

Yes. We have a limited number of spaces directly outside the restaurant. No car valet service. Alternatively, there is on-street parking on the same street, Ermil Pangratti, 011884 – Bucharest.

NB! – We will always maintain the highest standards of hygiene. This is in our DNA. Following the COVID-19 pandemic & guidelines set forth by UE and Romania Government, we have revaluated our infrastructure & process to ensure the safety of employees & our guests.
